Prescriptions
Ordering repeat prescriptions
If your long-term medication is on repeat prescription you can order in a variety of ways:
- In person – hand your repeat slip in at reception with the required items clearly marked.
- By post – send it in with a stamped addressed envelope if you want us to post it back to you.
- Online – follow this link and complete a simple registration.
Please note that we cannot accept requests for repeat prescriptions over the telephone.
Pharmacy Nominations
When you request a prescription online, you can have your prescription sent electronically to a pharmacy of your choice. This is called a nomination.
You can nominate a high street pharmacy by using the NHS App or logging in to the NHS website using a web browser. A high street pharmacy is where you collect your medicines in person. They may also deliver to your home.
You can also contact the Practice and let us know your nomination or if you wish to change this.
More details can be found here.
Questions about your prescription
If you have questions about your medicine, your local pharmacists can answer these. They can also answer questions on medicines you can buy without a prescription.
The NHS website has information on how your medicine works, how and when to take it, possible side effects and answers to your common questions.
You can also make telephone appointment with one of our pharmacists if the local chemist is unable to help.
